COMMITTEE RESPOSIBILITIES

BUILDING

  1. Schedule delivery of LP for heating
  2. Change furnace filters
  3. Yearly maintenance of air conditioner compressor
  4. Place dates of events on sign at flag pole
  5. Read electric meter monthly (report to treasurer)
  6. (Cleaning)
  7. Oversee that the building has been cleaned after each use and the garbage has been picked up
  8. Open and lock the building when rented
  9. Have meeting room set up for regular board meetings
  10. Check temperature in building periodically
  11. Adjust temperature in advance of scheduled meetings
  12. Call for biannual general clean up.

PARKS

  1. Oversee contracted lawn care (mowing) of parks and building grounds/parking lot
  2. Maintenance of park furniture
  3. Maintenance of swimming area (includes cleaning of; placing and removal of buoys)
  4. Collection of water samples at specified depths in order to meet compliance of State of Illinois requirements
  5. Return report of on-site state inspection to secretary for file
  6. Call for delivery of Porta-Potty to parks beginning May 30th week-end and removal immediately after Labor Day
  7. Monthly electric meter reading at Park 4(report to treasurer by the 5th of each month)
  8. Stamp keys and change padlocks at end of fiscal year
  9. Arrange keys that have been returned in order numerically
  10. Routine inspection and maintenance of park gates and fencing

DOCKS / RAMPS

  1. Construction of new docks
  2. Construction and continued inspection of launch ramps and loading docks
  3. Yearly inspection of existing docks (present written report to file)

ENVIRONMENTAL / SAFETY

  1. Receives all complaints from property owners concerning unsightly conditions
  2. Reports any indication of flagrant pollution to E.P.A.
  3. Reports all nuisance and hazardous conditions to the County Board
  4. Reports unsafe water/sewer conditions to the Southern Seven Health Department and E.P.A.
  5. Establish a program for evacuation in the event of a major disaster in conjunction with the County, 9-1-1 and local security
  6. Act as liaison with the American Red Cross in the event of a major disaster

ROADS

  1. Continue program of availability of road construction in conjunction with the County and property owners
  2. Work with the County Highway Engineer towards right-of-way mowing, snow/ice removal, cindering, repair of potholes
  3. Installation of road signs where needed

PUBLIC RELATIONS

  1. MEMBERSHIP
    1. Membership Drive (Annual Mailing)
    2. Contact new property owners and residents Programs to encourage membership
  2. PUBLICITY
    1. Announcements to news media
    2. Advertising of events and special community meetings
  3. SOCIAL
    1. Coordinate events to promote membership and a sense of community

LEGAL

  1. Interpretation of By Laws and proposals of By Law changes
  2. Interpretation of covenants (property restrictions)
  3. Consultation with legal counsel
